The core connection. We read jobs, quotes, invoices, clients, staff, job activity and — if you use the ServiceM8 phone add-on — your call records. Two years of history is loaded on connection and kept current through the day.
Authorised via ServiceM8's official OAuth. Read-only scopes only. You can revoke access from inside ServiceM8 at any time.

Xero
We read your chart of accounts, sales invoices, payments and credit notes, and your Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet report data. That gives you real debtor ageing, revenue and cost of sales against the jobs that produced them, and a running cross-check against ServiceM8: invoices raised in one system and not the other, payments that never landed, and completed work that was never billed anywhere. Sync runs automatically through the day, or on demand.
Read-only. We never post, edit or reconcile transactions in Xero.

Email — Gmail or Microsoft 365
Connect the owner's mailbox and the last 12 months of enquiry threads are read as metadata only: who sent it, who replied, when, and the subject line. That gives you the enquiries still waiting on a reply, your true response time in business hours, the phone-versus-email mix and which email enquiries became jobs.
We cannot read your emails. The permission requested from Google or Microsoft does not grant access to message contents or attachments, and we can never send, reply, delete or file anything. One mailbox per business — Gmail or Outlook, not both.

How connections are counted
A subscription carries one ServiceM8 account, one Xero organisation and one mailbox. ServiceM8 is the required connection; the other two are optional and can be added later from Settings, one at a time. Each is authorised separately, and each can be disconnected on its own without touching the others.

The ServiceM8 connect screen
You approve the connection on ServiceM8's own page, not ours. Read-only scopes are the only thing requested — write access is not on the list, so the dashboard cannot change anything even if it wanted to.

📞 Call data needs the ServiceM8 phone add-on. Missed calls, callback tracking and the answered-rate figures come from ServiceM8's phone system. If you don't use it, the Calls & enquiries module stays empty — every other module works in full.
Security
What we do with your data
Built on a SOC 2 compliant framework
The platform runs on SOC 2 Type II certified cloud infrastructure and follows a SOC 2 aligned set of controls: encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, per-business data isolation, audit logging and reviewed backups. To be clear: Dashboard Solutions itself is not SOC 2 certified. We're a new product, and formal certification is something we'll pursue as we grow rather than claim now.
Read-only by architecture
Write permissions are not requested at authorisation, so the dashboard is technically incapable of changing anything in a connected system.
Your data stays yours
Each business is isolated. We don't sell, share or pool your data, and we don't use it to benchmark you against anyone else without asking first.
No password sharing
Connections use each platform's official OAuth flow. We never see or store your ServiceM8, Xero, Google or Microsoft password.
Leave cleanly
Disconnect and the sync stops immediately. Ask us to delete your data and we delete it.
Setup
Ten minutes, once
Create your account, click Connect ServiceM8, approve the read-only access on ServiceM8's own screen, and the history loads in the background. Then, if you want them, add Xero and your mailbox the same way — one at a time, whenever suits. That's the whole setup.
