Dashboard Solutions runs in your browser, so there is nothing to download from an app store. In about twenty seconds you can add it to your phone's home screen, your iPad, your Dock or your Start menu — where it opens in its own window, full screen, straight at your numbers.
Every step below works on its own — pick the device in your hand.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au on the device you want the app on. Use the browser named in your section below — on Apple devices that means Safari.
On the log in screen, look for the Install Dashboard Solutions card and choose Install. On iPhone and iPad the card sends you to this page instead, because Safari has no one-tap install button.
Already logged in? Use Install app at the bottom of the sidebar.
No card and no button? Your browser has not offered an install yet. Use the manual steps for your device below — they always work.
On a desktop the app opens in its own clean window with no tabs and no address bar — handy if you keep the dashboard open beside ServiceM8 all day.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Safari.
In the menu bar choose File → Add to Dock… (on some versions of macOS this sits under the Share menu).
Check the name reads Dashboard Solutions and click Add.
Launch it from the Dock like any other app.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
If the Install Dashboard Solutions card appears on the log in screen, click Install. Already logged in? Use Install app in the sidebar.
Chrome: click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or go to ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app…
Edge: click App available in the address bar, or … → Apps → Install this site as an app
Confirm Install. It appears in Launchpad, Spotlight and the Applications list.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
Use the Install card on the log in screen, or the install icon in the address bar.
Or from the menu: Chrome ⋮ → Cast, save and share → Install page as app, Edge … → Apps → Install this site as an app.
Confirm. Find it in the Start menu, pin it to the taskbar, or keep the desktop shortcut.
A tablet on the office desk or in the ute is the closest thing to a wall board — the dashboard fills the screen and refreshes itself.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Safari.
Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up.
Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
Confirm the name and tap Add.
Open it from the home screen like any other app.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Chrome.
If the Install card appears on the log in screen, tap it.
Otherwise tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen (some versions say Install app).
Confirm, then open it from the home screen or app drawer.
The one most owners actually use: the numbers in your pocket between jobs, without hunting for a bookmark.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Safari.
Tap Share — the square with the arrow, at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add in the top right.
Open Dashboard Solutions from your home screen.
Open app.dashboardsolutions.com.au in Chrome.
If the Install card appears on the log in screen, tap Install.
Otherwise tap ⋮ → Install app or Add to Home screen.
Confirm, then open it from the home screen or app drawer.
Its own icon. Dashboard Solutions sits on the home screen, Dock or Start menu next to your other apps.
Full screen. It opens without the address bar and browser tabs, so more of the screen is your numbers.
Log in once. You stay logged in on that device until you sign out. Owner-only pages stay owner-only.
Always current. Pages load fresh every time and the sync runs through the day — you never see yesterday’s figures.
Needs a connection. Nothing is stored on the device. Out of signal you get a simple offline screen, and it reloads itself the moment you are back.
No app store. There is no App Store or Google Play download — installing is exactly the steps above, and updates arrive automatically with no upgrade to run.
Removing the app removes the icon only. Your account, your data and your connections are untouched — log back in from any browser and everything is where you left it.
Press and hold the icon, then Remove App or Delete Bookmark.
Press and hold the icon, then Uninstall or Remove.
Remove it from the Dock like any app, or delete it from Applications if it is listed there.
Open chrome://apps or edge://apps, find Dashboard Solutions and uninstall.
Or uninstall it from Settings → Apps like any other program.
Disconnect ServiceM8 and Xero in Settings first — that stops all access immediately.
Browsers only offer it in certain conditions, and Safari never does. Use the manual steps for your device above — the result is identical. If you are on Firefox, switch to Chrome, Edge or Safari.
You are probably not in Safari — check the browser. If you are, tap Edit Actions… (or More) at the bottom of the share sheet and switch Add to Home Screen on.
Add to Dock arrived in Safari 17 (macOS Sonoma). On older versions use Share → Add to Dock / Add to Home Screen, or install through Chrome or Edge instead.
That is a bookmark or shortcut, not the installed app — most often from adding it via Chrome on an iPhone. Delete the icon and add it again from Safari.
Remove the icon and add it again; devices cache the old artwork. On Android, clear the app icon from the home screen and reinstall from Chrome.
The app needs a connection because nothing is stored on your device. It reloads itself once signal returns; if the message stays put with a good connection, log out and back in, and email us if it persists.
